A shelf audit from a photograph.

Your staff photograph the shelf with a phone. You get back facing counts, empty facings, share of shelf, and all the key shelf-performance parameters that matter to you — together with a PDF report and an actionable checklist, including your or your consultant's specific advice and rules, ready to send directly to your staff.

No store visit. No app. No contract.

Fast reporting

Quick, clear and actionable.

From shelf photos to a practical report — without complicated processes or unnecessary steps.

Nothing to install

Any phone.

No app. No hardware.

A report, not a dashboard

Made for the shelf, not the screen.

Practical information designed to be used by people working with the shelf.

Turn shelf data into timely, practical decisions.

From shelf presence and availability to visibility, execution, assortment and opportunities to improve shelf performance.

How it works

Three steps — only one of them is yours.

You send photos. Everything after that happens on our side.

01You

Send photos of the shelf

We send you a one-page photo guide first. Your staff photograph the agreed section with any phone.

If a photo won't analyse cleanly, we ask for a reshoot before anything else happens.

The shelf gets measured

Each photo is analyzed product by product:

  • facing counts
  • empty facings
  • which brand holds which row
  • and any other information you need

The data and analysis can be customized to each customer's specific requirements.

Who it's for

Built for the operators the enterprise platforms skip.

Retail

Store owners and managers

Independent grocers, small chains and larger retail organisations that want an objective, practical read on their shelves without unnecessary complexity.

Typical use — One problem aisle, checked properly.

Supply

Brands and importers

Brands and importers who need to know their actual shelf presence and visibility next to the competition — not simply what the planogram promised.

Typical use — Share of shelf for one brand, across stores.

Service

Merchandising consultants

Consultants and agencies who want measured evidence in client reporting without building an analysis pipeline of their own.

Typical use — Before-and-after proof of your own work.

Scale

Simple enough for one store. Flexible enough for many.

Shelvion is not limited to small retailers.

Larger retail organisations can use the same simplicity and flexibility at store or regional level, allowing local teams to work with customised workflows while maintaining structured, consistent shelf information across the organisation.

Store managers within larger groups can also use timely shelf information to make their own performance more visible — identifying issues, acting faster, demonstrating improvements and showing what is happening in their store with clear evidence.

The report

Each page has exactly one job.

A layout designed so the person standing at the shelf can find the row being described.

AI with human judgement

AI does the measuring. People protect the meaning.

AI

Measures

Every photo is read product by product: facings, gaps, rows, brands and the parameters you asked for.

Human

Verifies

Reports are checked against the original photographs whenever human verification is required. A vision model can miscount a row and still sound confident.

Output

Practical

What reaches you is a report and a checklist a person can act on at the shelf, in the language of your operation.

Scope

What we can and can't read.

Shelvion works on packaged, branded products with visible labels. Fresh produce, deli and bakery counters, and unpackaged goods are out of scope.

Pilot programme

Join the Shelvion Pilot Programme

Early pilots are free. You get a full audit of one shelf section; in return I ask for honest, structured feedback on whether the report is actually useful. Every report is reviewed by hand before it goes out.

About

One person, one narrow problem.

01Why Shelvion

Shelf data should be easier to use.

Shelvion is built and run by Mohamad (Reza) Khajavi, working independently from Finland, together with a network of experienced professionals from different parts of the world.

It exists because shelf data should not be difficult to access or act on. Large retail groups may already have sophisticated systems, while independent stores and smaller operators often have very little. Shelvion is designed to sit comfortably in between — simple enough for a single store, but flexible enough to support large retail groups, brands and multi-store operations.

02Simple, but not limited

One simple workflow. Many ways to use it.

For larger retail organisations, Shelvion can provide something different from a traditional enterprise platform: simplicity and freedom. Individual stores or regional teams can use a customised workflow that fits the way they actually operate, while the organisation still gets consistent, structured shelf information.

It can also help store managers who are part of a larger group make their own performance more visible. Instead of simply following a standard process, managers can use timely shelf information to identify issues, act faster, demonstrate improvements and show what is happening in their store with clear evidence.

Shelvion is deliberately simple to implement. No complicated deployment, no heavy infrastructure and no long implementation project. You can start with a phone, a defined shelf section and a workflow that matches your needs.

And simplicity does not mean limitation.

Shelvion is designed to be customisable. As we learn how you work, the workflow, reporting structure, checks and outputs can be adapted to your specific operation. Over time, Shelvion should feel less like a generic platform and more like a dedicated retail assistant — supported by an application that has been shaped around the way your business actually works.

Turn shelf data into timely, practical decisions.

From availability and shelf presence to visibility, execution, assortment and opportunities to improve shelf performance.

03AI with human judgement

AI-assisted. Human-verified. Retail-aware.

The analysis is AI-assisted, but the final result is not left entirely to AI. I work with experienced professionals across different markets and regions who bring knowledge of local retail practices, market differences and country-specific considerations.

We also use human review as an important quality-control layer. Reports are checked against the original photographs before they are delivered whenever human verification is required. A vision model can miscount a row, misread a product or miss a detail and still report the result with confidence. Human review helps catch those errors and keeps the output practical and reliable.

This combination of AI-assisted analysis, human quality control, international retail knowledge and customisable workflows is a core part of how Shelvion is being built.

Right now, Shelvion is in the pilot phase — small, hands-on, and shaped by the retailers, brands, store managers and professionals who take part.
